Child Centered Community Development (CCCD) Programme

Timeline: 2013-2030

Objective: to promote the holistic development of communities centered on the wellbeing of children

We support:

  • 1,901 young children supported through ECD and child sponsorship program
  • 882 vulnerable youth supported through TVET, AVET, Pip, SHGs and farmer groups
  • 1,500 care givers capacity’s strengthened on positive parenting and early stimulation

Tubashigikire Programme

Timeline: 2023-2027

Objective: to provide humanitarian support for vulnerable people groups affected by climate shock and the deteriorating socio-economic situation in Burundi

  • 21,429 returnees served in food aid and NFIs
  • 2,695 IDPs served with food aid and NFIs

Objective: to support refugees, returnees and IDPs with food aid, NFIs and cash aid

Rêves des enfants

Timeline: 2024-2026

Objective: to promote a multisectoral early childhood development package in the Kayanza District with a focus on the first 1000 days.

We support: 

Community structures:

  • 3 organizations of persons living with disabilities involved in project planning, monitoring, evaluation and learning process
  • 62 learning and nutritional rehabilitation centers
  • 15 health care centers that introduce birth registration in their services
  • 97 Child protection committees
  • 100 community structures with training on management of WASH facilities

Community members:

  • 15,600 children suffering from acute malnutrition with micronutrients products
  • 198 trainers whose capacity is strengthened on the construction of modern cooking stoves
  • 11,250 children with birth certificates
  • 4,000 children with access to child friendly spaces
  • 27,500 children with birth certificates
  • 47 community members with training on psychosocial support for children and parents
  • 300 child victims of violence, exploitation, abuse or negligence access health care, social support or legal support service
  • 4,500 parents and guardians access mental health and psychosocial support
  • 19,400 parents and guardians with positive parenting and early stimulation training
  • 1,122 community members in reporting and handling cases of sexual abuse and exploitation
  • 190,000 community members with access to channels to report cases of sexual abuse and exploitation
  • 20,000 community members sensitized on WASH best practices
