Integrated emergency response to facilitate access to inclusive primary education

Location
: Katoyi and Masisi, North-Kivu
Partners: Unicef

In this program, we focus on promoting equitable access to education in a safe and protective learning environment for crisis-affected children (girls and boys) and reduce overcrowding in schools that have taken in displaced children. We also facilitate access to basic social services for vulnerable children aged 0 to 17, by strengthening referral mechanisms in a protective environment and resilience mechanisms for children and/or victims of protection in schools and the community. To support and facilitate access by children affected by humanitarian crises to protection services and inclusive, relevant quality education, Help a Child, in collaboration with community protection structures (DIVAS and EPST), proposes the What’s Up approach.
