The work of Help a Child DRC is concentrated in North and South Kivu, in the East of DR Congo. In cooperation with our partners, we realize a number of programs to support vulnerable children and households with interventions on WASH, Food Security and Livelihood, Child Protection, and Community Empowerment. Help a Child started operating in Masisi, North Kivu, in 2018 as part of the Joint Response, funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands. In this joint program, Help a Child supported internally displaced people, returnees, and other vulnerable families to help them improve their food security and access to safe drinking water.
Right from the start, and even before that, Help a Child felt the desire to work in DRC for a longer time. And so, shortly after the entrance, an office in Goma was opened.
