Protracted Crisis Joint Response (SSJR)

Goal: Providing life-saving support to vulnerable communities across South Sudan and building their resilience to face acute shocks and recover from crisis. Help a Child is the lead organisation of a consortium with World Vision, Safe the Children, Plan International, Tearfund, Care and ZOA/Dorcas. More on this response, click here.

South Sudan Joint Response

The South Sudan Joint Response project is an emergency response project funded by the Dutch Relief Alliance (DRA). The aim is to provide assistance to the most vulnerable households by enhancing food security and supporting livelihoods, predominantly through the distribution of food aid, provision of livelihood kits, and conducting extension activities. South Sudan continues to face a multitude of crises, such as natural disasters (floods, droughts), the influx of around 1 million refugees and returnees from Sudan, inflation and insecurity.

Kids@Risk

The Kids@Risk project supports vulnerable children and families in crisis, providing essential aid in education, nutrition, and trauma care. Our goal is to create safe havens where children can heal from past experiences, access quality education, and regain a sense of normalcy. By equipping families with the resources and skills they need, we are paving the way for a more stable and hopeful future in Pibor.

Aweil family: een goed begin, een liefdevol gezin

Goal: improving care for children in Aweil Town:

  • Place 25 young (street) children in foster families
  • Provide a safe place for 250 children during day & access to necessary services
  • Empower 100 families with parental & practical skills (incl. PIP)
