Community Empowerment

In our program we actively involve community members in the design and implementation of their development processes in order to enhance participation and ownership towards food and income security. Through self-help groups and overarching CBOs, we support families to jointly work on social and economic improvement of their situation. Our key activities:

  • Facilitation and coaching of self-help groups.
  • Strengthening of overarching CBOs on fundraising, lobby and networking.
  • Training of community volunteers on health related public service delivery
  • Capacity building of water resource management committees (on water catchment, resource management, treatment, purification and storage).
