Within the Kids at Risk program, Help a Child mobilizes parents, community groups, and other stakeholders to jointly improve the situation and opportunities of children. Key principles from Help a Child’s proven ‘Child Centered Community Development program’, such as participation, inclusion, and community cohesion, are used to achieve this goal. The program has the following expected outcomes:
- Improved access to basic social services for children such as Health, Nutrition, and Birth registration;
- Parents take care of the wellbeing of the kids;
- All children have access and are retained in a quality educational system;
- Reduced risks for children from (S)GBV, recruitment of armed forces and child labor.
