Forensic Medical ExaminationsMedical evaluation by a physician or by an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) specially trained in sexual assault diagnosis.
Collection of evidence for prosecution through the court system.
Testing for sexually transmitted disease (STD).
Testing at the request of law enforcement for the presence of date rape drugs.
Dispensing of antibiotics to prevent STD's as a result of the crime.
Dispensing, if medically indicated, of temporary birth control to lower the chance of pregnancy as a result of the crime.
A rape crisis counselor or victim advocate will be present to provide immediate crisis counseling.
Help in accessing financial assistance for losses incurred due to the assault.
AFTER Clinic's Follow-Up Medical TreatmentThe clinic will test/retest for sexually transmitted disease.
A follow-up medical exam.
A rape crisis counselor is available to provide crisis counseling.
