Protecting children is everyone's responsibility. There is war, terrorism, community violence, domestic violence, physical abuse, sexual abuse, neglect, poverty and hunger in our world. Children have the right to be protected from all of these.

Are you doing your part? Do you volunteer in your community? Do you financially support the agencies that provide assistance? Do you know where to refer those in need?

Help A Child protects children through the six programs it operates:

Child Protection Team (CPT) - provides diagnostic, consultation and assessment services to assist in the investigation of child abuse and neglect.

Child Abuse Recovery Services (CARS) - offers crisis intervention, short term counseling and case management for families of children who have been sexually abused by a non care taker or another child.

Medical Foster Care (MFC) - provides licensed foster care for children who require medical care or medical supervision.

Parent Aide/Child Net - matches volunteers with parents who have asked for help with parenting.

Safe Start Partnership - provides assessment, crisis counseling, referrals, training and therapeutic intervention to prevent and reduce the impact of violence on children from birth to 6 years old.

Sexual Assault Victim Examinations (SAVE) - provides forensic medical exams and follow up medical treatment for adult and adolescent victims of sexual assault.
